One Hour Tour
The perfect Vineyard Introduction. Enjoy Oak Bluffs with its Victorian style gingerbread cottages from the mid--1800s when the Methodists replaced their tents with over three hundred charming cottages and an open air tabernacle for their summer revival meetings. Shortly after, a Victorian seaside resort was built around the campgrounds. Then on to Edgartown passing by lighthouses, beaches and over the bridge from where the movie Jaws was filmed. Edgartown is a picture book setting with its harbor and waterfront. The stately white Greek Revival houses built by whaling captains have been carefully maintained. The Old Whaling Church with its six massive columns, the Edgartown Harbor Lighthouse, captains' homes on North Water street not equaled anywhere, and the historic Harborview Hotel make Edgartown a museum piece community.
Full Island Tour
See all 6 towns in just 3 short hours. The one hour tour of Edgartown and Oak Bluffs plus a 20-mile drive through the scenic up-Island country-side. Passing through the historic farming towns of West Tisbury and Chilmark, catch glimpses of centuries old stone walls, views to the Atlantic shoreline, grazing livestock, rolling hills and historic homesteads. The beautiful and secluded fishing village of Menemsha precedes the tour’s 30-minute stop at the multi-colored clay cliffs at Aquinnah where you can stop for a lobster roll or clam chowder. The tour passes through the busy harbor town of Vineyard Haven, the main port of entry for the island's residents and visitors and concludes in Oak Bluffs
Two Hour Tour
The best of the island. You will see everything in the One Hour Tour of Edgartown and Oak Bluffs, but then head onto the two historical farming towns of West Tisbury and Chilmark with their scenic country side. Add a visit to Menemsha the secluded fishing village, then proceed to the busy harbor town of Vineyard Haven - entry port to Martha’s Vineyard since the mid 1600’s and back to Oak Bluffs.
